Defenseman Radko Gudas on Thursday signed a multiyear contract to remain with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Gudas, 26, could have become a restricted free agent July 1. The Flyers did not announce terms of the contract, but it is for $13.4 million over four years, Sportsnet reported.
Philadelphia acquired Gudas, along with first- and third-round picks in the 2015 NHL Draft, from the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 2, 2015, for defenseman Braydon Coburn. Gudas has 12 goals, 46 points and a minus-3 rating in 202 NHL regular-season games; he had five goals, 14 points and a minus-3 rating in 76 games this season. He was also second in the NHL with 304 hits and was second on the Flyers with 157 blocked shots.
