Flyers prospect Morin breaks jaw, will have surgery @NHLdotcom

Defenseman Samuel Morin, a Philadelphia Flyers prospect, sustained a fractured jaw and is expected to have surgery Monday, the team announced.

Morin, a first-round pick (No. 11) at the 2013 NHL Draft, is playing for the Rimouski Oceanic in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He has three assists in four games.

Flyers general manager Ron Hextall said Sunday a timeline for Morin's return will be provided after the surgery.
