Voracek suspended two games for interference

NEW YORK - Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracekhas been suspended for two games, without pay, for interference against New York Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk during NHL Game No. 1052 on Long Island on Saturday, March 9, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 5:41 of the third period. Voracek was assessed a major penalty for interference.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Voracek will forfeit $88,709.68. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
