The Philadelphia Flyers have set their opening-night roster, the team announced Monday.
The roster consists of 12 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders, as follows:
Forwards: Sean Couturier, Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Scott Laughton, Vincent Lecavalier, Matt Read, Zac Rinaldo, Jay Rosehill, Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds, Max Talbot, Jakub Voracek
Defensemen: Braydon Coburn, Erik Gustafsson, Nicklas Grossmann, Andrej Meszaros, Luke Schenn, Mark Streit, Kimmo Timonen
Goaltenders: Ray Emery, Steve Mason
As part of finalizing their roster, the Flyers assigned defenseman Bruno Gervais and center Adam Hall to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.
The Flyers begin their regular season Wednesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Wells Fargo Center.
