The Game

Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo won't play against the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena on Saturday after he was placed on injured reserve with a hand injury.

The injury occured in the third period of a 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday. Backup James Reimerstopped 11 shots in relief and likely will start. Florida recalled goalie Harri Sateri from Springfield of the American Hockey League.

Capitals forward T.J. Oshie will play in his 600th NHL game. Oshie is off to the fastest start of his career with six goals in eight games. His shooting percentage since the start of the 2015-16 season (18.7) ranks second in the League among players with at least 100 shots on goal (Paul Byron, 22.0).

Oshie scored a 6-on-4 goal with 1:01 remaining to tie the Detroit Red Wings on Friday. The Capitals won 4-3 in overtime on the League-leading 10th goal by Alex Ovechkin goal to end a two-game losing streak.
