Florida Panthers forward Jonathan Marchessault will not play because of a lower-body injury he sustained in a 2-0 loss at the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. Marchessault, who leads the Panthers with 10 goals and 19 points, is day to day. Coach Tom Rowe will move Denis Malgin to the top line with Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr. Malgin has four goals and four assists in 25 games. "The key there is you've got Jagr who is such a good mentor for all those young guys and he's constantly talking to him on the bench," Rowe said. "I talked to [Jagr] about it and I said 'You want to try it?' He said, 'Yeah, let's give it a shot and see where it goes.' The kid's a smart player, he's quick and I think they could be a real good combination." The Panthers are 1-2-1 in the first four games of their six-game road trip with five goals in that span.
