MIAMI (AP) - Tomas Fleischmann has agreed to a four-year contract with Florida as the Panthers continue their free-agent shopping spree.
Fleischmann becomes the sixth free agent signed Friday by the Panthers, who also acquired forward Kris Versteeg in a trade.
The other free agents signed are five-time All-Star defenseman Ed Jovanovski, forwards Scottie Upshall and Marcel Goc, defenseman Nolan Yonkman, and goalie Jose Theodore.
Fleischmann had 12 goals and 19 assists in 45 games with Washington and Colorado last season. He missed the last three months of the 2010-11 because of blood clots in his chest.
Panthers general manager Dale Tallon says Fleischmann has been cleared to play.
