The Calgary Flames on Monday signed defenseman TJ Brodie to a five-year contract extension.
Brodie, 24, scored his third goal in seven games in a 4-1 win at the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday. He had four goals and 27 assists in 81 games last season.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but Elliotte Friedman of "Hockey Night In Canada" reported it's value to be $23.25 million.
Brodie was Calgary's fourth-round pick (No. 114) at the 2008 NHL Draft.
