CALGARY -- Calgary Flames goaltender Karri Ramo left the game against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday midway through the second period following a collision with a teammate. He did not return.

Ramo left the crease to play a loose puck and collided with Flames defenseman Raphael Diaz in the slot. He left the ice with 9:49 remaining in the second and the score tied 1-1.

Ramo made 12 saves on 13 shots in his first start since being pulled after allowing four goals on 13 shots in a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Dec. 16.

Jonas Hiller came on in relief.

Ramo was 8-5-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and .903 save percentage entering Wednesday.
