CALGARY - Olli Jokinen is officially Broadway bound.
The Calgary Flames traded the forward, along with Brandon Prust, to the New York Rangers late Monday in exchange for Christopher Higgins and Ales Kotalik. The swap comes a day after the Flames pulled the trigger on a blockbuster deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs that sent Dion Phaneuf to Toronto for blue-liner Ian White and forwards Matt Stajan, Niklas Hagman and Jamal Mayers.
Jokinen was originally acquired by Calgary from the Phoenix Coyotes at last year's trade deadline.
The 31-year-old had 11 goals and 24 assists in 56 games with the Flames this season.
