The Calgary Flames
have added Hockey Hall of Famer Michel Goulet
to their front office as a western professional scout.
Goulet joins the Flames after 15 years in the Colorado Avalanche
's front office. He will continue to work out of the Denver area.

. "He has helped assemble championship teams at both the NHL and AHL affiliate level, and he brings a wealth of knowledge to our pro scouting ranks. We are pleased to welcome him to the Flames' organization."
Goulet had 548 goals and 1,152 points in 1,089 NHL games with the Quebec Nordiques and Chicago Blackhawks
. He's one of nine players in NHL history to score 50 goals in at least four straight seasons (1982-86). He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998.
The Flames also hired two amateur scouts -- Ari Haanpaa
, who will work out of Finland, and Fred Parker, who will work out of Ottawa. Parker formerly worked for NHL Central Scouting covering junior hockey in the Ottawa area.
