Flames 3, Sharks 2, SO @NHLdotcom

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -Kristian Huselius scored twice and Craig Conroy beat Evgeni Nabokov for the winning goal in a shootout Tuesday night to help the Calgary Flames beat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 on Tuesday night.

With the shootout tied 2-2, Conroy scored and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped Curtis Brown to secure the victory.

The 28-year-old Huselius, who had career highs with 34 goals and 77 points last season, tallied his first two of the preseason.

Patrick Marleau and Pat Rissmiller scored for San Jose (3-0-2).

Trailing 2-0 midway through the first period, Huselius scored on a power-play executing a perfect give-and-go with Jarome Iginla. Evgeni Nabokov had no chance on the lone goal of the second period when Huselius' shot bounced strangely off the shinpad of defenseman Doug Murray and bounded over Nabokov's pad.

Marleau gave San Jose a 1-0 lead 30 seconds into the game. Rissmiller scored at 2:04 to give the Sharks a 2-0 advantage.
