Five-goal second period helps the Oil Kings beat the Hurricanes 6-3

EDMONTON - A five-goal second period was the difference as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-3 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

Klarc Wilson, T.J. Foster, Cole Benson, Michael St. Croix and Dylan Wruck each scored second period goals for the Oil Kings (26-10-4) while Mitchell Moroz added one more in the third.

St. Croix also had two assists, as did Cody Corbett and Stephane Legault.

Cam Braes led the Hurricanes (15-26-1) offensively with a goal and an assist as Landon Oslanski and Reid Duke scored a goal apiece.

Laurent Brossoit made 30 saves for the win while Damien Ketlo allowed five goals against on 31 shots through two periods of play.

Liam Liston played the third period and stopped nine of 10 shots in relief.

Edmonton went 1 for 2 on the power play was Lethbridge went 1 for 4.
