Five different players score for Vancouver as the Giants blank Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Evander Kane, Casey Pierro-Zabotel and James Wright each contributed a goal and an assist as the Vancouver Giants demolished the Prince George Cougars, firing 51 shots in a convincing 5-0 victory Friday night in the Western Hockey League.

Jonathon Blum opened the scoring on the power play five minutes and 41 seconds into the game. Mike Berube also scored for the Giants (13-0-0-3).

Tyson Sexsmith stopped 24 shots to earn the shutout for Vancouver, while Cougars netminding duty was split between Joe Caligiuri, who made 26 saves on 31 shots over the first two periods, and Kevin Armstrong, who stopped 20 shots in the third for Prince George (8-11-0-1).
