Fisenko's hat trick leads Calgary Hitmen to 6-2 win over Hurricanes

CALGARY - Misha Fisenko scored a hat trick to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 6-2 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes in Western Hockey League action on Sunday afternoon.

Joel Broda had a goal and an assist for the Hitmen (31-15-2), who have won three straight games to remain atop the WHL's Central Division standings with 66 points. Del Cowan and Jimmy Bubnick also scored, while Michael Stone and Brandon Kozun chipped in with three assists each.

Cam Braes and Austin Fyten scored for the Hurricanes (15-26-5), who built up a 2-0 lead before the Hitmen replied with seven unanswered goals. After winning the first two games of the season series, Lethbridge has now lost three in a row to Calgary.

Calgary went 5-for-7 on the power play, while killing all seven chances Lethbridge had with the man advantage.

Starting his ninth consecutive game in net for the Hitmen, Calgary goalie Martin Jones made 17 saves to improve his record to 20-9.

Linden Rowat started in goal for Lethbridge, but was pulled in the second period after stopping 28 of 32 shots he faced. Brandon Anderson then made seven saves in a relief appearance.
