DAL@COL, Gm7: Finnish call of Kiviranta's OT goal

No matter where you were for Dallas Stars forward Joel Kiviranta's game-winning goal, you could hear the celebrating all the way from Finland. That is all thanks to announcer Antti Mäkinen.

Kiviranta, a native of Vantaa, Finland, scored in overtime of Game 7 to beat the Colorado Avalanche in Game 7 to propel the Stars to the Western Conference Final on Friday.
Mäkinen's amazing celebratory call on the Finnish broadcast made the rounds on social media. And you don't have to be fluent in Finnish to understand what's going on here.

If you remember Mäkinen's name, that may be because of another famous call he made on Joonas Donskoi's
OT winner for the San Jose Sharks against the Pittsburgh Penguins
in Game 3 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Final.
For Kiviranta, the game-winner also completed the 24-year-old rookie's first NHL hat trick.
"I can't describe my feelings. I couldn't imagine this even in my wildest dreams. You know, to play in the Game 7, score a hat trick and the winning goal," Kiviranta said.
He wasn't the only one excited about it.
