ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Chris Festarini made 31 saves in his IceDogs debut Thursday as Niagara won its fourth straight Ontario Hockey League game, 4-1 over the Brampton Battalion.
Ryan Strome opened the scoring for Niagara early in the second period on the power play with a great individual effort for his sixth goal of the season. Billy Jenkins made it 2-0 IceDogs with his first of the campaign at the 14:55 mark of the second period.
Patrik Machac put Brampton on the board with just three seconds left in the second, but that's all the Battalion could muster.
Luke Mercer gave Niagara a two-goal cushion again with his first of the season on the power play midway through the third period, before Alex Friesen closed out the scoring with his third of the season.
Niagara outshot Brampton 41-32 overall.

The IceDogs went 2-for-5 on the power play. The Battalion were 1-for-3.
