Feser scores OT winner as Tri-City fends off Everett's rally to win 6-5

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Justin Feser scored the game-winner eleven minutes into overtime as the Tri-City Americans edged the Everett Silvertips 6-5 in the opening game of their Western Conference first-round playoff series Friday night in the Western Hockey League.

The Americans had a 5-3 lead in the third, but gave up a goal by Tyler Maxwell at 16:47 of the period. Then Daniel Bartek tied the game with 21.9 seconds left to send it into overtime.

Kruise Reddick had a goal and two assists for Tri-City, while Adam Hughesman, Johnny Lazo and Lane Werbowski each had a goal and an assist.

Tyler Schmidt also scored for the Americans, who got 26 saves from Chet Pickard in his first game back since suffering a concussion Feb. 28 in Spokane.

Bartek also had two assists, while Ryan White had a pair of goals. Dan Iwanski also scored for the Silvertips, who got 39 saves from Thomas Heemskerk.
