Feser, Hughesman score twice as Americans down Chiefs 4-1 in WHL action @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Justin Feser and Adam Hughesman each had a goal and two assists Saturday to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 4-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League.

The Americans have won their last 11 home openers, dating back to 2001. Of those wins, six have come against Spokane.

The Chiefs' Anthony Bardaro opened the scoring, weaving his way down the ice around two Tri-City players before beat Ty Rimmer at 14:33 of the first on the power play.

The Americans answered in the second with a pair of power-play goals by Feser and Michal Plutnar, the latter coming on a 5-on-3 man advantage.

Connor Rankin and Hughesman added goals in the third period for Tri-City, which also got two assists from Patrick Holland.

Rimmer finished with 28 saves for Tri-City, while Mac Engel had 22 for Spokane.
