Ferraro's overtime heroics lift Red Deer past Edmonton 4-3 @NHLdotcom

SPOKANE, Wash. - Landon Ferraro scored 51 seconds into overtime and added a pair of assists to lead the Red Deer Rebels past the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Tyler Penny, Cass Mappin and Cody Gross added goals for the Rebels (3-1-0-1). Brenden Dowd forced overtime for the Oil Kings (2-2-1-0), scoring with 34 seconds left in regulation. Clayton Cumiskey and Tomas Vincour added singles for Edmonton.

Morgan Clark's 27-save performance preserved the win for Red Deer.

Edmonton netmidner Dalyn Flette stopped 26 shots in defeat.
