KINGSTON, Ont. - Michael Farrell scored twice and added an assist as the Kingston Frontenacs downed the Niagara IceDogs 4-2 in Ontario Hockey League play Sunday.
Farrell opened the scoring for the Frontenacs (3-2-0) with a goal on the power play at 3:21 of the first. His second of the game and third of the season came at 5:26 of the second while Kingston was shorthanded.
Mitch Lebar had the game winner 14 seconds later.
Ethan Werek added a third-period power play goal for Kingston.
Freddie Hamilton and Marco Insam replied for the IceDogs (1-2-1).
Tyler Beskorowany stopped 29 shots to earn the win.
Mark Visentin made 34 saves in the loss.
