Each day this season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will provide daily picks for DraftKings NHL contests. This lineup has been constructed with expensive and value picks and should be used as a basis for your roster decision-making.
C - Artem Anisimov, CHI ($6,200)
Anisimov, who has centered Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin for much of the past two seasons, is a safe DFS bet at home against the Buffalo Sabres. He has 18 points, 29 shots on goal and three blocks in 17 home games for 3.5 DraftKings points per game, much better than his road average of 2.5. Chicago is a strong home team (13-4-4), and the Sabres have allowed 52 goals in 19 road games.

C - Teuvo Teravainen, CAR ($4,500)
Teravainen is extremely affordable in the midst of a five-game point streak (one goal, four assists). He and fellow Finland native Sebastian Aho have displayed tremendous chemistry and puck possession prowess on the same line at even strength and with the man-advantage. Teravainen has 10 points, three on the power play, and 26 SOG in his past 12 games.
W - Nikita Kucherov, TBL ($7,100)
Kucherov has at least a point in all four of his games since returning from injury with three multipoint outings in the span. The Tampa Bay Lightning forward ranks second in the NHL in points per game (1.19) behind Sidney Crosby (1.31), and is better than a point per game at home and on the road. He had an assist and four SOG against the Nashville Predators on Nov. 21, and had 11.5 DraftKings points (two goals, one assist, seven SOG) against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday.
W - Anthony Mantha, DET ($5,400)
Mantha has been the talk of the fantasy world in the midst of his six-game point streak, where he's totaled nine points after a three-point outburst in the 2017 Scotiabank NHL Centennial Classic. How could you pass up the chance to draft him for such a moderate price against the weaker-than-usual Los Angeles Kings, especially considering he has 10 points (seven goals, three assists) in 11 road games?
W - Tanner Pearson, LAK ($4,700)
Pearson's role has changed drastically since Tyler Toffoli has been out with a lower-body injury. He has at least a point in five of the six games since Toffoli was injured, totaling three goals, three assists, four blocks and 21 SOG in the span for an average of 4.8 DraftKings points per game. He offers exposure to the Kings' most-consistent point producer, Jeff Carter, at even strength and on the first power-play unit.

D - Duncan Keith, CHI ($5,100)
Keith has 16 points, 26 blocks and 47 SOG in 21 home games for a strong average of 3.3 DraftKings points per game. He's overdue for a goal with one on 86 SOG, especially on the power play, where he has no goals despite manning one of the points with Kane, Anisimov, Panarin and Jonathan Toews. It should only be a matter of time, so take advantage of his glaring low price.
D - Dmitry Orlov, WSH ($4,300)
Orlov has erupted offensively with 11 points (two on power play) and 23 SOG in his past 14 games. He provides respectable coverage of blocks (44) and SOG (60) for the season, and is still among the cheapest defensemen with power-play exposure. He averages 19:00 per game, with 1:21 coming on the Washington Capitals' second power-play unit. The Capitals pose a serious threat to the Columbus Blue Jackets' 16-game winning streak, so take the cheapest offensive exposure you can get to what should be a spirited game.
G - Martin Jones, SJS ($7,700)
Jones is 10-4-1 with a .932 save percentage and a shutout at home for the San Jose Sharks, and 2-1-0 with a .947 SV% and one SO in his career against the Minnesota Wild. With the way Devan Dubnyk is playing, this could very well be a low-scoring affair. Jones is tied for 11th in price among goalies Thursday, and is 6-3-1 with strong peripherals in his past 10 games.
UTIL - Sam Reinhart, BUF ($5,000)
Whether or not Ryan O'Reilly returns from injury, Reinhart will be in a good spot on the road against the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford, confirmed to start for Chicago, has lost three of four games since returning from injury with 10 goals allowed in that span. The Sabres offense got a huge confidence boost with a 4-1 road win against the New York Rangers on Tuesday, and Reinhart has scored six of his eight goals this season on the road. He has nine points in his past 10 games with four coming on the first power-play unit with Jack Eichel and Co.
