Bryan Little, C, WPG -- The easiest way to gain exposure to Patrik Laine, the hottest goal-scorer in the NHL, is by adding Little (11 percent owned in Yahoo), who had four assists against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and has nine points (one goal, eight assists) in the past seven games. Laine now has 11 goals in his past four games after his historic five-goal game Saturday, catapulting to the top 10 in NHL.com's forward rankings.

WPG@VAN: Little capitalizes on Markstrom's miscue

Jake Guentzel, LW, PIT -- The Pittsburgh Penguins left wing scored a hat trick against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday and is playing with Sidney Crosby again since the elite center's return from injury. With right wing Patric Hornqvist (concussion) sidelined, the Penguins will rely heavily on Guentzel for secondary scoring. Since Oct. 25, Guentzel has 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 15 games and is beginning to translate his Stanley Cup Playoff success to the regular season.
Tyler Johnson, C/RW, TBL -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have altered their lines again, this time with Johnson and Brayden Point joining elite right wing Nikita Kucherov. Johnson has three goals on seven shots on goal in two games since the change. He rejoins the top 100 forwards and could continue to rise if the line sticks. Point, meanwhile, has surpassed Steven Stamkos, who's now with forwards J.T. Miller and Yanni Gourde, in fantasy value for the rest of the season.

TRENDING DOWN

Arizona Coyotes: The return of goalie Antti Raanta from injury hasn't helped their fortunes; he has allowed 11 goals in the past two games, pushing the Coyotes' losing streak to four games. Forwards Clayton Keller and Alex Galchenyuk have underachieved based on fantasy expectations, and the Coyotes have been held to two goals or fewer in each of their past six games (1-4-1). That said, help could be on the way after Arizona acquired forward Nick Schmaltz (C/LW, 9 percent owned), who should boost the top six and first power-play unit.
Ilya Kovalchuk, LW/RW, LAK -- He hasn't had a point over his past nine games, is no longer playing in the top six and was limited to 6:20 against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday. Fantasy owners should monitor the duo of center Anze Kopitar (seven points in past five games) and wing Dustin Brown (scored hat trick Sunday), but the Kings' only hope is goalie Jonathan Quick's potential return this week. Kovalchuk (LW/RW, 66 percent owned) is one of the most dropped players this week and has lost his spot in the rankings despite an elite career pedigree.
