Carolina Hurricanes fans are undeterred even after two straight Stanley Cup Playoff losses.

A group of diehard Carolina fans went to Raleigh-Durham Airport to welcome home the Hurricanes after their 4-3 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round.

Carolina fell behind 2-0 in the best-of-7 series by dropping a pair of games against the Capitals in Washington, but that didn't stop fans with Hurricanes hats, shirts and flags from voicing their support as the players and staff left the airport.
The Hurricanes haven't hosted a playoff game since 2009, but that will change when the series shifts to PNC Arena for Game 3 on Monday (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVAS2, FS-CR, NBCSWA). The Raleigh region is hype for the return of playoff hockey. The Sir Walter Raleigh statue in downtown Raleigh is sporting a Hurricanes shirt along with black and red socks.
