Faksa scores in regulation and shootout as the Rangers beat the Greyhounds 3-2 @NHL

KITCHENER, Ont. - Radek Faksa scored in regulation and the shootout as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 3-2 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.

Zach Lorentz also scored for Kitchener (22-9-1).

Michael Kantor and Nick Cousins each scored for Sault Ste. Marie (17-14-4).

It was the battle of the backup goaltenders, as the Rangers John Gibson and the Greyhounds Jack Campbell are currently with the U.S. junior team for the world championships.

Kitchener's Franky Palazzese and Sault Ste. Marie's Matt Murray both turned aside 46 of the 48 shots they faced in the game.

The Rangers went 0-for-5 on the power play, while the Greyhounds converted once on two chances with the man advantage.
