Fake Mike Fisher scares Carrie Underwood on 'Ellen'

The daytime talk show host played a practical joke using crew member in disguise

Carrie Underwood usually draws inspiration from Mike Fisher, her husband and Nashville Predators forward. But Friday, Fisher's likeness terrified the country music superstar.

The Ellen Degeneres Show commemorated Underwood's 10th appearance on the daytime talk show by having a crew member dress like Fisher in his Predators gear and pop out from inside a fake end table.

"He was dressed like your husband," Degeneres said after Fisher's surrogate ran offset.

Look closely, and you'll notice the Predators jersey had a 'C' on the front. Fisher was named the seventh captain in Predators history on Sept. 8, and Underwood, who is not shy about touting her husband's success on Twitter, swelled with pride about his latest on-ice achievement.

Tweet from @carrieunderwood: So proud of my man! He's going to be an amazing Captain! Congrats @mikefisher1212 https://t.co/aZ9WFzODYN pic.twitter.com/3uyWkE3Fbk
