CALGARY - Mitch Fadden and Dwight King both scored on third-period breakaways to lead the Lethbridge Hurricanes to a 4-3 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League action Sunday night.
Fadden and Zach Boychuk each tallied a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes (43-20-2-3), who have won two straight games to pull within four points of the Hitmen (45-20-1-4) for top spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
In six games against the Hitmen this season, the Hurricanes won five of them.
Colton Sceviour also scored for Lethbridge, while goalie Juha Metsola stopped 25 of 28 shots he faced to pick up his 19th win of the season.
Brandon Kozun notched a goal and an assist for the Hitmen, who have lost two straight games. Paul Postma and Brock Nixon also scored, while Keith Seabrook chipped in with two assists.
Calgary goalie Dan Spence made 14 saves in a losing cause.
