Advantage Margin:
Though the Thrashers had more power plays than their opponents, the margin was down from +37 in 2005-06..

Even-Strength Goals Margin: +11
Marian Hossa had 26 goals and 52 points at even strength and finished plus-18. No other Atlanta forward was in double figures in plus-minus. . 

Special Teams Goal Margin: -13
The Thrashers won the Southeast despite a huge collapse by their power play. They dropped from 100 PPGs in 2005-06 to 67 in 2006-07. But they also cut down their power-play goals against from 102 to 79.

No Atlanta defenseman had more than five goals last season. The Thrashers have never produced an offensive defenseman, and they’re still looking.

Goals by forwards: 215
Hossa (43) and Ilya Kovalchuk (42, down from 52 in 2005-06), combined for 85 goals; Slava Kozlov (28) was the only other Thrasher with more than 17.

Overtime Record: 14-7-4 (OT: 7-7, SO: 7-4)
The Thrashers were tied for second with 25 games that went beyond regulation. The Thrashers scored 15 shootout goals on only 29 shots, a league-best (10+ shots) .517 percentage.

Times Scored First/Record: 44 (Record: 27-11-6)
One reason the Thrashers improved in 2006-07: They did a much better job of getting the game’s first goal; their total of 44 was up 12 from 2005-06.

Best 06-07 Number: 14-4-1
Atlanta’s record in games played on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Thrashers’ 6-1-0 mark on Mondays was the best in the NHL.

Worst 06-07 Number: 4.25
Atlanta’s goals-against average in the playoffs, the highest of the 16 teams in the post-season and a huge jump from the Thrashers’ regular-season average of 2.88
