Everett Silvertips rally to 4-2 win over Seattle; Froese tips in winner @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Byron Froese tipped in a Tyler Maxwell shot in the third period for the winner and Shane Harper added an empty net goal for the Silvertips (39-29-41), while Maxwell and Dan Iwanski also scored.

Chance Lund and Prab Rai replied for Seattle (14-35-11).

The Thunderbirds extended the winless streak to 17 games.

Lund opened the scoring for Seattle with his fifth goal of the season at 10:36 of the first period.

Brendan Silvester started the play by blocking a shot and then feeding Lund directly in front of the Everett goaltender Kent Simpson.

Rai gave the T-birds a 2-0 lead with his 35th goal of the season on a power play at 3:06 of the second period.
