Erie Otters on brink of elimination after 4-2 loss to London Knights @NHLdotcom

ERIE, Pa. - Michael Del Zotto and Phil Varone each had a goal and an assist as the London Knights beat Erie 4-2 Thursday, pushing the Otters to the brink of elimination from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.

The Knights lead the best-of-seven Western Conference quarter-final 3-1 and can wrap up the series Saturday in London, Ont. Scott Aarssen and Justin Taylor, into an empty net, also scored for London, while John Carlson added two assists.

Greg McKegg and Tyler Hostetter replied for Erie.

Trevor Cann made 16 saves for the Knights while Jaroslav Janus stopped 25 shots for the Otters.
