HAMILTON - Andreas Engqvist scored twice as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Oklahoma City Barons 3-1 in American Hockey League action Sunday.

Engqvist is on a career-best eight-game scoring streak, totalling nine goals and five assists over that span.

Gabriel Dumont added an empty net goal for Hamilton (16-14-5) while Robert Mayer made 35 saves.

Lennart Petrell replied for Oklahoma City (23-10-4) while David LeNeveu made 26 saves.

Hamilton took a 1-0 lead just 1:01 into the game when Alexander Avtsin's wraparound effort was finished off by Engqvist.

Engqvist scored his team-leading 12th goal late in the second period, beating LeNeveu on the far side on a power play.

Oklahoma City made it 2-1 with less than three minutes remaining. Magnus Paajarvi's point shot was deflected past Mayer by Petrell, who scored his first of the year.
