Emmerton scores two goals to lead Battalion to 4-2 win over IceDogs

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Cory Emmerton scored two goals and assisted on a third as the Brampton Battalion extended their Ontario Hockey League Central Division lead over Niagara to seven points with a 4-2 win over the IceDogs Thursday night.

Jason Dale added a goal and assist and John de Gray a lso scored for the Battalion, who halted the IceDogs' four-game winning streak and improved to 37-21-1-3.

Luca Caputi scored his 46th of the season for Niagara and Mike MacIsaac, who was picked up at the trade deadline, added his first.

The IceDogs, fell to 35-24-0-1 despite outshooting Brampton 30-25.

Bryan Pitton made 28 saves for the Battalion while Sebastian Dahm stopped 21 shots for the IceDogs.
