Ray Emery agreed to a professional tryout contract with Ontario of the American Hockey League, the affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, on Saturday.
Emery, 33, attended training camp with the Tampa Bay Lightning on a professional tryout, but was released Sept. 28, the same day the Lightning claimed goaltender Kevin Poulin on waivers from the New York Islanders.
Last season Emery went 10-11-7 with a 3.06 goals-against average and .894 save percentage in 31 games with the Philadelphia Flyers.
In 11 seasons with the Ottawa Senators, Flyers, Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks, Emery has 145 wins and 16 shutouts. He won the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2013 and was the starting goalie for the Senators in the 2007 Stanley Cup Final.
