Oilers salute five-year-old Ben Stelter

Ben Stelter had a night to remember Thursday.

The Edmonton Oilers hosted the 5-year-old who has glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer.
The Oilers fan was diagnosed with a brain tumor one year ago, going through four rounds of chemotherapy and 30 sessions of radiation to remove it. The tumor returned in December and Stelter will undergo more radiation next week.
It was a big night from the moment Stelter walked into the Oilers locker room. His dad, Mike, shared a video of the moment.

Stelter joined the Oilers on the ice for the national anthems before the game against the San Jose Sharks. In the second period, he was featured on the jumbotron and received a standing ovation from the crowd at Rogers Place.
Stelter earned the Oilers player of the game helmet and vest after Edmonton's 5-2 win against San Jose.
"I know who the MVP was tonight, for sure," Oilers head coach Jay Woodcraft said of Stelter after the game. "Absolutely without a doubt. You should have seen our dressing room after the game. Man, this was the most juice I've seen in our dressing room in a long time. Tell you what, pretty special night."

The night ended with Stelter joining Oilers forward Zach Hyman for an adorable postgame press conference. Unfortunately for Hyman, Stelter told reporters that Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are his favorite players.

Later in the press conference, Hyman had to pause to point out to Stelter the fans chanting his name.
Safe to say, the Oilers have a new fan favorite.
