Oilers fans pack Rogers Place, go wild after winning series

Sure, the clincher was played in San Jose, but Edmonton arena was still a sellout @NHLdotcom

The Edmonton Oilers clinched their trip to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in San Jose, but their home stadium was still packed.

Rogers Place opened its doors to fans to watch Game 6 against the Sharks and when Connor McDavid's empty net goal sealed the game, Oilers fans went so crazy they might have been heard all the way in San Jose.

Tweet from @RogersPlace: OILERS WIN! The captain seals the deal & #RogersPlace erupts as the #Oilers move onto Round 2! #OrangeCrush #LetsGoOilers

Clearly hungry for their first playoff series win in over a decade, the building had the feel of a sellout with fans all decked out in orangle and blue.
