Nurse suspended one game for head-butting

Darnell Nurse was suspended one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday.

The Edmonton Oilers defenseman was disciplined for head-butting Los Angeles Kings center Phillip Danault in Game 5 of the Western Conference First Round at Rogers Place on Tuesday.
The incident occurred with 9.3 seconds remaining in the second period of the Oilers' 5-4 overtime loss. No penalty was assessed on the play.

Nurse will miss Game 6 at Los Angeles on Thursday (10 p.m. ET; TBS, CBC, SN, TVAS. BSW) because of the suspension. The Kings lead the best-of-7 series 3-2 and would eliminate the Oilers with a win.
Nurse has scored two points (one goal, one assist) and leads the Oilers with an average ice time of 21:45 per game. He scored 35 points (nine goals, 26 assists) and averaged 25:03 in ice time in 71 regular-season games.
Danault remained in the game, played 23:20 and scored his third goal of the series at 11:06 of the third period.
