Ed Belfour headed to another Hall of Fame after getting nod in home province @NHL

WINNIPEG - Ed Belfour is heading for another Hall of Fame.

Less than one week after being elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame, the former NHL goaltender was one of five athletes named to the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame on Monday.

Belfour was born in Carman, Man., and went on to a NHL career that featured 484 wins, two Vezina Trophys and a Stanley Cup victory.

He'll officially be inducted during a ceremony in Winnipeg on Nov. 5 alongside curler Kerry Burtnyk, former CFLer Bob Cameron, sailer Kelly Hand and lawn bowler Clarice (Lawton) Fitzpatrick.

Veteran football/basketball player Glenn McWhinney, builder Joe Wiwchar, the 1975-76 Manitoba Bisons basketball team and 1967 Winnipeg mixed bowling team will also be honoured.

Belfour officially enters the Hockey Hall of Fame on Nov. 14.
