Dzerins nets winner late in overtime as the Frontenacs edge Plymouth @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Andris Dzerins scored with 22 seconds left in overtime as the Kingston Frontenacs edged the Plymouth Whalers 3-2 in Saturday night Ontario Hockey League action.

Dzerins took a saucer pass from Matthew Kang on a two-on-one break and fired a snap shot over Plymouth goalie Jeremy Smith's glove. Kang and Nathan Moon each had a goal and an assist for Kingston (2-5-1-0), with Stephen Francella netting the other Frontenacs goal on a short handed penalty shot in the second period.

Plymouth (3-4-1-0), the OHL's lone winless team on home ice (0-2-1-0 at Compuware Arena), got goals from AJ Jenks, Kaine Geldart and newly acquired over-age player Cory McGillis.

Frontenacs goalie Mavric Parks earned the win making 33 saves, while Smith stopped 28 shots for the Whalers.
