Dylan Ferguson's Vancouver Tattoo A Tribute To His Hometown

Dylan Ferguson didn't need parental permission. He had just passed the grand old age of 18, thank you very much.
But for the Golden Knights goalie - now 19, and in the NHL from juniors after Vegas' slew of goalie injuries - Vancouver, the location of Thursday's game against the Canucks, will always have special meaning.
Born in Vancouver and raised about 50 miles west in tiny Lantville, tonight's game is a bit of a homecoming for Ferguson, who normally tends goal on the other side of the province for the Western Hockey League's Kamloops Blazers.
Vancouver is also the site of where Ferguson started the first preseason game in Golden Knights history - a 9-4 win - on September 17, and where seven years ago, he took the ice next to then Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo as a kid during warmups.
This is why despite being just old enough to get a tattoo without parental permission, Ferguson decided to emblazon the Vancouver skyline across his bicep about six months ago.

"I was born in Vancouver," Ferguson said. "So I have a tattoo of Vancouver. That's where I got my first preseason game.
"Going back to BC, it's home."
And although it's been a bit of a whirlwind for Ferguson, although he hopes to call Vegas his permanent home one day instead, his Vancouver tattoo is a special tribute.
Which for a 19-year-old still a bit in awe of being in the NHL, officially brings him full circle heading into tonight's game.
