Dustin Tokarski stops 21 shots for the shutout as Spokane beats Seattle 3-0 @NHLdotcom

SPOKANE, Wash. - Dustin Tokarski stopped 21 shots for the shutout as the Spokane Chiefs beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-0 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Spokane (12-2-1-1) took a 1-0 lead at 8:42 of the first period on a goal by Jared Spurgeon. Drayson Bowman and Mitch Wahl had the assists.

Levko Koper scored an unassisted goal at 7:13 of the third period to give the Chiefs a 2-0 lead.

Chris Bruton scored off an assist from Judd Blackwater at 14:36 of the third to give the Chiefs a 3-0 lead.

Seattle (6-4-2-1) goalie Riku Helenius made 37 saves on 40 shots and his record falls to 5-3-2-0.
