Durand's game winner lifts Saskatoon to 5-4 victory over Moose Jaw @NHLdotcom

SASKATOON - Chris Durand's second goal of the season midway through the third period stood as the game winner, leading the Saskatoon Blades to a 5-4 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday in the Western Hockey League.

Jyri Niemi scored twice and added an assist while Justin McCrae chipped in with a goal and three assists as the Blades (1-2-0-0) regrouped after squandering a 3-0 second-period lead. Derek Hulak added a goal and two assists in the Saskatoon win.

Jordan Knackstedt led the way with a goal and two assists for the Warriors (0-1-1-0), while Brady Calla, Jason Bast and captain Riley Holzapfel added singles in defeat.

Braden Holtby stopped 20 shots to earn the win for Saskatoon.

Joey Perricone made 25 saves for Moose Jaw.
