United States women's hockey captain Meghan Duggan joined NHL Live to discuss her team's silver medal-winning performance at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, and if any of the sting has worn off from falling short against Canada in the gold-medal game.
"It wasn't the result we went to Sochi for," Duggan said. "I think when you train that hard you go there and you want gold, but at this point I'm so proud of our team. I'm so proud of the way we handled ourselves. I'm proud of the performance we put forth. It was an outstanding hockey game, I'm sure, to watch and to be a part of.
"All in all it was a great Olympics. Like I said, [we] came up a little bit short. It doesn't always feel great, but I'm really proud of our team and the effort we had when we were there."
