Max Jones Ducks

Left wing Max Jones signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.

Jones, 18, was selected with the No. 24 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-3, 203-pound forward had 28 goals and 24 assists in 63 games as a rookie last season for London of the Ontario Hockey League. He had a goal, an assist and 23 penalty minutes in six OHL playoff games, and helped London win the Memorial Cup with two goals and two assists in four games.
Jones, a Rochester, Mich., native, helped the United States win silver at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, leading the tournament with seven goals in six games.
