Ducks put Lilja on active roster, demote Sbisa @NHLdotcom

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - The Anaheim Ducks have put defenseman Andreas Lilja on the active roster and assigned defenseman Luca Sbisa to their AHL affiliate in Syracuse.

The Ducks made the moves Saturday after Lilja received his work visa.

Sbisa went scoreless in two games with the Ducks this season. The Swiss defenseman hasn't won a full-time NHL job during parts of three seasons with Philadelphia and Anaheim.

The Ducks signed Lilja on Monday. The longtime Detroit Red Wings defenseman went to training camp with San Jose.

Defenseman Toni Lydman made his season debut Friday night with the Ducks, scoring a goal in a 5-4 shootout loss to Atlanta. Lydman missed training camp and Anaheim's first four games because of double vision.

Anaheim hosts Phoenix on Sunday night.
