Ducks move Carter to 'Canes for minor leaguers
NHL.com @NHLdotcomThe Anaheim Ducks dealt center Ryan Carter to the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday in exchange for minor-league forwards Stefan Chaput and Matt Kennedy.
The 27-year-old Carter had 1 goal and 2 assists in 18 games this season. Chaput, 22, and Kennedy, 21, will report the Ducks' AHL affiliate in Syracuse. Chaput has 3 assists in 20 games for the AHL's Charlotte Checkers; Kennedy has 1 assist in seven games.
In another deal, the Ducks acquired defenseman Nigel Williams from the New York Rangers in exchange for defenseman Stu Bickel.
Williams, 22, has 1 assist in 12 games for the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack/Connecticut Whale. Bickel, 24, had 3 assists in 6 games for Syracuse.
The Ducks also re-assigned Josh Green to Syracuse on Wednesday.
