ANAHEIM -- Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Kesler sat out practice Monday to rest, coach Bruce Boudreau said.

He was the only player absent from Ducks practice.

"Just the old maintenance day," Boudreau said.

Kesler played 17:24 with five hits and won 15 of 28 faceoffs in a 4-1 win against the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Sunday. Game 2 of the best-of-7 series is Tuesday (9 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports) at Honda Center.

Kesler played most of Game 1 matched up against the line of Chicago captain Jonathan Toews and is expected to play against it for at least the games in Anaheim.
