Ryan Miller has won his share of NHL awards, but finally he is up for the big one:2020 NHL Fan Choice GIF of the Year.

The Anaheim Ducks goalie is one of four nominees for the award along with Vegas Golden Knights forward Mark Stone, Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog and Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin for their unique reactions during hockey games.

On Monday, Miller joined Sportsnet to explain the situation that led to his GIFable reaction. It was a game John Gibson started for the Ducks, with Miller backing up.

"I left my helmet and my blocker back in the room because everything is kind of in the way. You have to sit in the hallway when you're backing up. And (Gibson) I think went down in one of the first sequences in front of the net and he stayed down for a bit so I had to walk back, get my stuff, walk back out," Miller said. "And I was kind of ready to go. Usually I'd have an indication from the bench like 'hey, just keep walking. Get out there.' And all the defensemen are kind of looking at me. And so I walked out and I'm looking and Gibby looks like he's doing OK, maybe he's coming off, and then when he got up and said that he wanted to stay in the game I just kind of peeled it back (to the locker room)."

The GIF Miller is nominated for perfectly says, "well I'm not needed here."
