Ducks, Flames swap players

The Anaheim Ducks traded former first-round pick Logan MacMillan to the Calgary Flames on Wednesday for forward Jason Jaffray. Conditional seventh-round picks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft could also be exchanged depending on several criteria.

MacMillan, a center, was taken in 2007 with the 19th selection. He has yet to appear in an NHL game, playing in 2009-10 with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL -- where he registered 2 goals and 6 points in 30 games -- and the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL, going scoreless in seven games.

Jaffray is a 29-year-old veteran who has played in 36 career NHL games for the Canucks and Flames, registering 4 goals and 10 points.
