ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -Anaheim Ducks right wing Corey Perry will be sidelined about six weeks after surgery for a lacerated tendon above his right knee.
Perry, the Ducks' top goal scorer, was expected to be released Friday or Saturday.
He was injured in the third period of the Ducks' 1-0 loss at Colorado on Thursday night. The surgery was done that night in Denver by Avalanche team physician Dr. Andy Parker.
"Corey is doing very well this morning, thanks to both clubs' medical staffs," Ducks general manager Brian Burke said Friday. "His injury is not career-threatening and we expect him back 100 percent in approximately six weeks."
