Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf was scratched from the game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Honda Center on Wednesday because of an upper-body injury.

Forward Nick Ritchie also was scratched with an upper-body injury.

Getzlaf and Ritchie played in a 4-0 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. Getzlaf did not play last Wednesday against the Nashville Predators after he was hit in the arm by a San Jose Sharks shot in a game last Tuesday.

Ritchie was injured when he was checked by Kings defenseman Tom Gilbert, who has a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on the play.

Getzlaf has one goal and eight assists in nine games. Ritchie has two goals and one assists in 10 games.
